Did you know?…
If your company has 1 or more employees, you may be required to have a Workers’ Compensation insurance and policy in place.
Companies conducting work in Florida, the sunshine state, are required to provide Workers’ Compensation Insurance for their employees. The specific requirements for coverage are based on the entity of organization, type of industry, and the number of employees the organization has.
Here is some useful information to help you determine coverage requirements for a specific employer.
AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY– If the company has six regular employees and/or twelve seasonal workers who work more than 30 days during a season but no more than a total of 45 days in a calendar year.
CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY – If the company has one or more employees, including the owner of the business who are corporate officers or Limited Liability Company (LLC) members.
NON-CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY – If the company has four or more employees, including business owners who are corporate officers or Limited Liability Company (LLC) members.
If you don’t have this coverage in place or would like to have us review your current Workers’ Compensation policy, contact us at information listed below, to further assist you and to get you on track.
